Indicator: Exports of goods and services (constant 2015 US$) - Ranking   2024

Description The “Exports of goods and services (constant 2015 US$)” indicator, published by the World Bank, measures the value of goods and services exported by an economy to non-residents, expressed in constant 2015 U.S. dollars. Exports of goods include changes in the economic ownership of goods from residents of the compiling economy to non-residents, regardless of whether the goods physically cross national borders. Exports of services include services provided by residents to non-residents. The indicator is expressed in constant prices, meaning that the series has been adjusted to remove the effects of price changes over time, with 2015 as the reference year. This allows changes in export values to be interpreted primarily in terms of changes in the volume of exports rather than changes in prices.
A cosa serve The indicator is used to analyze trends in the real volume of international exports and the role of external demand in economic activity. It can be used to assess long-term export performance, compare the evolution of exports across countries, and examine the contribution of international trade to economic growth. When combined with GDP expressed in constant prices, it can also be used to calculate the real exports-to-GDP ratio, providing an indication of the relative importance of exports within an economy. Together with constant-price imports, it can further support the analysis of real trade dynamics and changes in an economy's external sector.
